Applebite Farms     Applebite Farms is a 94 acre horse farm in California's Central Valley near Stockton and Sacramento. The basic business of the farm is the breeding of Thoroughbred race horses and other services associated with racing, training, boarding and lay-ups of thoroughbreds.  The facility has gained customers from the entire state, and to some extent nationally, because of its fine large pastures suitable for horses living in a natural and healthy setting. Applebite farms has been in the Rogers family since 1939. For some years, the farm was leased and used as a race horse breeding and lay up farm. In 1994, Joan Rogers resumed the family business with the goal to expand race horse services, and add other services. The farm is located in easy reach of both Bay Meadows and Golden Gate Fields race tracks. In addition, we have horses from Santa Anita and other Southern California tracks who are brought here because of the facility, and the ease of transportation by horse haulers who have substantial equine traffic to and from the area. In the recent past we have also had horses which have come from Florida, Kentucky, and Texas.

It is within easy access to Southern California tracks, yet is situated at a smog free 4,000 foot elevation in the beautiful Anza Valley. This winning combination is complemented by the 24 hour on-site management of Jack Evenson, a 35 year veteran of the thoroughbred industry.
