Sweden

JGV in English     JGV is short for Jägersro Galoppens Vänner. That is short for "Friends of Jägersro Thoroughbred Racing".  JGV is a non-profit organization with the noble aim of promoting Thoroughbred Racing. Jägersro is a dual trotting and thoroughbred track located in Malmö in the Southwest of Sweden. Thoroughbred Racing starts here in April and ends in October. The highlight of our season is The Swedish Derby in August. Members of JGV meet once a week during the meet and produce a tip-sheet where most of the week's winners can be found ;-). We also arrange trips to other tracks and race-meetings. And we are represented on the Jägersro Party Committee!   This Home Page is a new activity on our part and we are proud to be among the first in Scandinavia with horse racing information on the Net. We hope to be able to provide interesting information about horse-racing and Jägersro here so keep on reading!   The main attraction is our fantastic tip-sheet. So far only in Swedish. But if any of our foreign friends are planning a visit to Sweden we will be happy to provide you with some inside info!

TravInfo - International page     Welcome to the English version of TravInfo (TrottingInfo in translation). Click here or on the red horse at the bottom of this page to reach the Swedish section.  This page is thought to be a window to Swedish trotting. Sweden is one of the leading nations in this sport with horses like Copiad, Ina Scot, Zoogin and trainers like Soren Nordin, Stig H Johansson and Olle Goop. On this page you'll be able to read news from the Swedish trotting-scene. It is not meant to be a complete guide to Swedish trotting but at this moment it's the only one there is. Hopefully STC (The Swedish Trotting Association) will be entering the Internet in the near future. This page is under construction.
