Beulah Park    Ohio     Founded in 1923, Beulah Park holds the distinction of being Ohio’s "first original" racetrack. During the early years, the track enjoyed a reputation as the "Little Saratoga" of the Midwest.   In recent years, the reputation of the historic Grove City facility has been enhanced by a multimillion dollar master plan of redevelopment and restoration. Since the purchase of the track by Columbus developer Charles Ruma in 1986, more than 12 million has been spent on improvements to the grandstand, clubhouse, and backside barn areas.   In addition to a new banked and spiraled track surface, Beulah Park built a new modern outdoor paddock area and plaza, along with an outdoor walking ring that has become the showpiece of the restoration project.   Telephone account wagering was started in November of 1993 at Beulah Park, another "Ohio’s original".    Blending the old with the new technology allows Beulah Park to present live via satellite Harness and Thoroughbred racing from America’s greatest racetracks such as Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita, Belmont Park and Meadowlands.   The track’s continuing commitment to the improvement of the racing industry has allowed Beulah Park to retain the reputation as "Ohio’s original" home of Thoroughbred racing.  Corporate Name: Heartland Jockey Club Ltd.  Mailing Address: P.O.
